| Architecture Student Outreach Program
Through the Architecture Student Outreach Program, the Preservation
Easement Trust offers volunteer opportunities to architectural students
who have an interest in historic preservation. Student volunteers not
only learn about historic preservation easements and the
Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
but also perform annual inspections of easement-protected historic properties
on behalf of the Trust in order to ensure compliance with the terms of its
preservation easement deeds. In the future, the Trust plans to develop a
formal curriculum so that volunteers could potentially earn college credits
at a select group of educational institutions.
